International Division

OneLOVEPet’s was started with St. Kitts in mind.  In St. Kitts there is no animal shelter and resources regarding animal welfare are few and far between.  There are many stray dogs and cats, but also owned animals that live outdoors that are typically covered in fleas and ticks, because of this many animals suffer from parasite related disease that can affect humans too!

It has been our mission, through our sponsored charities, to educate the local community on animal welfare with specific emphasis on the importance of flea, tick, heartworm and intestinal parasite prevention in order to keep their pets and families healthy!

Do you have a charity you would like to see represented through the St. Kitts Division?

Our St. Kitts Chapter Student Ambassadors – Leah and Susanna work hand in hand with our founder – Dr. Mary Pereira to better the lives of then animals living in St. Kitts and Nevis.

The St. Kitts Chapter supports multiple animal rescue groups by providing flea and tick prevention as well as funding treatment for parasite related disease for animals in need.

Additionally, the St Kitts Chapter  supports and attends community outreach events to educate the local community on the importance of parasite preventatives to eliminate parasitic disease in pets and people!

Increasing Our Reach Further!

Picture
We are proud to announce our partnership with the Basseterre Animal Rescue Center (BARC). BARC will be the first animal shelter to be built on St. Kitts with the goal of a self-supporting animal rescue centre for dogs where through good health-care and rehabilitation, dogs are prepared to thrive in home environments.

Through this partnership, One Love Pets plans to provide flea, tick and heartworm preventative medications to the animals in the shelter as well as fund any parasite related treatment new intakes require. We will also be providing education programs through the shelter to educate the community on the prevalence of parasites and how to prevent them in order to decrease the prevalence of parasitic disease.
Stay tuned for updates on BARC!
